At the moment of salvation, we begin the journey of becoming more like Christ. Circumstances, bible studies, trials, joys and scripture all have a role to play in our transformation. Developing the character of Christ can be both voluntary and involuntary. Sometimes we gain a perspective that shifts our mindset and actions on our own. Other times we are plunged into painful circumstances that refine us as we walk through them. The key is to be always looking to Christ and seeking the lesson He has for us.
