In my last post I mentioned the Homeschool Parenting Summit online conferences. This will be the fourth year they have put a Summit together and I have to say that each year so far the topics presented and covered have been exactly what I needed. God has used that as such a blessing in my life. I can’t say enough good things about the conferences! So far, they have covered Teaching, Fitting It All In and Parenting. This year’s topic is Curriculum and I am really looking forward to listening to all the speakers.
I’m especially excited to listen to Mark Hamby from Lamplighters Theater on the Language Arts day. He has spoken at our church and I have enjoyed his presentations in the past!
Is it possible to homeschool with confidence? The biblical answer is, yes!
There is a promise found throughout Scripture for those who build on the foundation of God’s truth; in Psalm 1, we read that “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers, but his delight is in the law of the Lord…. In all that he does, he prospers.” And when families begin their home education journey by centering it on Christ and His Word, they can have the assurance that their investment will last into eternity.
The Homeschool Curriculum Summit 2.0, coming this March 25-30, 2019, brings that truth right down to the basics of how to decide which curriculum to use. You’ll learn to evaluate curriculum options from a Christian worldview, identify the right fit for every subject, for every child, and therefore – homeschool with confidence built on the foundation of God’s truth.
All of the video sessions with top Christian homeschool speakers bring a Christ-centered focus to these topics:
- Language Arts
- Social Studies
- Finding the Right Tools for You
The entire event free if you sign up by March 25th, and in addition to the video sessions, you’ll also get access to an online resource hall (with exclusive discounts and freebies), daily devotions to help you set your heart on the Lord, and a private Facebook group to connect with speakers and other attendees.
You’ll walk away from the Homeschool Curriculum Summit 2.0 equipped to choose your educational tools with wisdom and a biblical perspective so that you can have confidence in the Lord as you raise up the next generation of Christians.
Now before you go and say you love your curriculum and you’re not looking to change anything, hear me out. I thought the same thing at first but when I looked at the line up- who was speaking and what topic were being covered it became clear that it was going to be helpful across the board. Each subject has 4 or 5 interviews and it looks like there is going to be lots of tips, tricks and wisdom shared. Go see for yourself! Sign up to watch for free!
It seems that around March homeschooling is tough. You made it through the fall to Thanksgiving and then Christmas but now there has been 3 months since the holidays. The days are cold and long. Everyone’s been cooped up inside for far too long. But just when despair and complacency is threatening to set in, the Homeschool Summit will bring fresh Christ-centered perspective and inspiration to you.
The Curriculum Homeschool Summit will be running from March 25-30, 2019 . If you are a homeschooling family, I hope you head over and sign up. I’m looking forward to what God has for me next week and I know you’ll be blessed, too!
