Happy Monday! I hope your weekend was fun-filled yet relaxing. Among other things, I spent mine figuring out this thing they call sourdough and at least got it from the start of starter to fresh starter. Because mine is rye based, I am still working on how to get a good rise out of it for bread so I am not out of the figuring it out stage yet.
I did learn, however, that the starter makes great chocolate chip cookies and pizza dough. I have to work on getting the dough to be thick and fluffy, though because first pizza dough attempt yielded a flat and almost chewy crust. But the flavor was great and complimented the toppings nicely so I am headed in the right direction.
