A friend and I always joke about things just being what they are.
“It is what it is” I say with a shrug.
Its my way of saying that’s how it is and there’s not much I can do about it. And to a point its true. We can’t do much about what has happened or change what has happened in the past to create the present.
But I just discovered the rest of the saying.
That is much better!
We sure can seek the perspective to determine a pleasing journey through whatever circumstance we are in.
In every circumstance we have the choice to get bogged down with the negative or find the silver lining.
Getting bogged down in the negative spirals down to fear, anger and being miserable.
But finding the silver lining will bring joy and peace.
And with a positive outlook, God’s goodness and proof of our faith shine through as a testimony of Him to those around you.
