I have been reading so many things about new years resolutions and advice on making those resolved life changes stick. I think two of the best pieces of advice I heard were to make it an “I will” rather than an “I won’t” and to do your resolution for God’s glory.
God has showed me a new area of growth he wants for me in this new year, so my resolution is more about obeying and pleasing the Lord.
This year, I am going to be working on self-discipline and self-control to build and keep a schedule. I am a very productive person as is, but I seem to be always operating from a point of chaos and playing catch-up. And, that alone is exhausting! A schedule is the only way I am going to get everything done and stay rested and sane!
After doing some study in Titus 2 and Proverbs 31 about a godly woman, I realized there is more called of God’s women and being a master of a schedule is really the only way to get it all done and still be sane.
So. My schedule has been built (the easy part). Now comes the really hard part of sticking to it- and that’s where the work begins. 🙂
What is God calling you to work on this coming year for his glory?
